Women’s voices have been silenced in more ways than one, being reduced to a face, a body, something to look at. This creates a toxic atmosphere for women in all aspects of their lives: socially, professionally, and physically. With this body of work, I reveal the harsh reality of women in their day-to-day lives in regards to societal expectations and appearance. These images reflect the push and pull of expectations placed upon women, who are often treated as dolls to the rest of society. It is important that women never cease to fight these normative restrictions.
